Former Emotive Sydney executive creative director Charlie Leahy set to head to US

Charlie-Leahy-new.jpgCharlie Leahy, the former executive creative director at Emotive, Sydney ~ who is currently on sabbatical ~ will soon be heading to the US.

His background spans TV, interactive gaming, branded content, social media strategy and end-to-end social video content strategy and production for entertainment channels and brands.

Last year he helped create one of the most famous campaigns of the year – the Anti-Ad with Ricky Gervais for Optus / Netflix launch in Australia – for which we won various awards including a Bronze Lion at Cannes and Gold at the London International Awards.

Leahy started his career in TV in the UK, working for a number of entertainment channels including BSkyB where he helped launch their three music channels.

At Endemol he created the world’s first global social media reality show – The Gap Year for Bebo – and the award winning drama for MSN, Kirill.

At Zodiak Media h created Unlimited, the first entertainment channel on FB and was part of the team who created the award winning digital content for BBC’s Being Human.

Leahy moved to Australia in 2012 and has since held senior positions at Ensemble and Boom (1st YouTuber network in Australia) before joining Emotive in February 2015.
