Frost*Design named and created ‘YOU’, a campaign comprising a set of four videos promoting key messages to people aged 15-25 years affected by out-of-home care (OOHC), an information booklet of the same name and a dedicated website. The initiative is part of FACS’ Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) launched to promote a wide range of support and services available to young people with personal experience in the system.

The key messages are framed around the broad range of rights that youth involved in out-of-home care (OOHC), are entitled to understand and pursue. The dynamic campaign simplifies the concept of rights around five key topics – identity, how the out-of-home care system works, finding your voice and being heard, planning for the future and importantly, education. The video campaign is complemented by Frost*Design’s 35-page booklet providing in depth information around each of the five above-mentioned topics.

Says Simone Czech, executive director, FACS: “What we love about the work is its honesty and integrity. The campaign addresses information gaps that are pertinent to the health, wellbeing and future of some of our most vulnerable youth. These tools are vital to empower young people and to provide them with the information to assist in making informed decisions about their lives.”

Says Ant Donovan, group creative director, Frost*collective: “Working with the FACS team has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Solving problems and improving people’s experiences is always our end goal. Having the opportunity to help disadvantaged, young people in any way, is a privilege. We truly hope our campaign has the traction needed to affect positive change in young lives.”
