LocalAgentFinder launches new brand campaign featuring Jason Geary via McCann Melbourne
Real estate agent comparison service, LocalAgentFinder (localagentfinder.com.au), has launched its new advertising campaign via newly appointed advertising agency McCann Melbourne, aimed at demonstrating the value of its agent comparison service and urging Australians to compare real estate agents as the first step in selling their home.
The new campaign, which launches today, represents a change in direction for the brand, featuring Jason Geary, who has been appointed to the role of chief comparison officer for LocalAgentFinder.com.au.
LocalAgentFinder CEO Matt McCann says Geary’s central role in the new campaign for LocalAgentFinder came at a time where the business is in a significant period of growth.
Says McCann: “Jason Geary is a unique talent in taking on the role of LocalAgentFinder’s Chief Comparison Officer. He is distinctively qualified with the experience to be able to connect with home sellers throughout Australia. We look forward to watching his journey as Chief Comparison Officer of LocalAgentFinder.com.au.”
McCann, who worked with Geary at iSelect previously, is thrilled to be working with him again.
Says McCann: “Giving Jason the freedom to take on a new and very different role playing himself means that consumers will be both informed and highly entertained.”
Says Geary: “I can’t wait to flex my muscles in this new role as LocalAgentFinder’s chief comparison officer and show Australians what we’re all about. There’s nothing more I like than a good old fashioned comparison to find the best person for the job of selling your home.”
The first series of 15- and 30-second TVCs will run in primetime across all major channels show Geary excelling in his new role.

Wow! What an amazing piece of shit you’ve have there, LocalAgentFinder. But maybe I need to watch it again and read a little more… I know, let’s check out what household name Jason Geary (Who?! Oh, iSelect and Micaleff’s everyman) has to say about this abomination…

Thanks for the reaction quote. I better use this service.
LA-DI-FUCKING-DA.
What are are you guys doing!! iSelect worked despite the advertising – brilliant product.
No one will know he was the iselect guy as it had terrible cut through or recall (thats why they ditched it).
.
Won’t be long before he’s an out of work actor again
Dumb Ways to Buy
What’s with the poorly posted in birds? That’s just a weird thing to do.
So bad, so dumb.
whats with the birds?
My critics may be surprised to hear that I like this. I wasn’t expecting to, for the reasons others have offered.
But it’s a very good idea, surprisingly well-written.
There’s a lot more of this sort of ‘ad refers to another ad’ in ad-literate markets like the UK. I guess that crucial element sailed right over the heads of those commenters who condemned this spot for doing an ‘in joke’. Maybe I’m in a genius group of one, but I suspect many amongst the unwashed will also ‘get’ this ad.
I hope the agency campaign it.
It could be really, really good if it’s written well.
Wow this stinks. McCann is really smelly at the moment.
What did I just watch?
I’m with Old CD guy, I reckon it’s a brilliant casting move and will do well for them.
Campaign Brief keeps monitoring comments like a communist country.
