The exhibition launches next Wednesday, November 16 at Rising Sun Workshop, Newtown, Sydney.

Says Smith: “It’s my way of translating the journey and things I saw and showing them to everyone here at home.

“It was hard not to be overwhelmed by the beauty and scale of the landscape and the roads that go through it, and I wanted to come back with something that gives the viewer a sense of what it’s like travelling through this wonderful part of the planet. It’s pretty much road porn with large scale landscapes, something that will hopefully appeal to both motorcycle and art lovers.”

High & Dusty features large scale prints for auction, and aims to raise funds for Plan India, an organisation that works for children’s access to education.

Says Smith: “We wanted to show our appreciation to the amazing people in the regions we passed through on our journey, so reached out to our guide over there, and this is a charity that he has seen firsthand on the ground making a difference. We want to use the night to raise as much as we can for them.”

The exhibition will be held at Rising Sun Workshop, a communal workshop space for motorcycle enthusiasts. The night will also feature a collection of custom Royal Enfields, nibbles and beer courtesy of Young Henrys.
