Starring Dev Patel, Rooney Mara, and Nicole Kidman the film is based on Saroo Brierley’s incredible true story. As captured in his memoir, A Long Way Home, Lion follows 5-year-old Saroo, who is separated from his family in India. Adopted by an Australian couple, it takes 25 years for Saroo to reconnect with his birth family through the magic of Google Earth.

Produced by See Saw and Aquarius Films, Lion has been the most awarded film on the festival circuit this year, nominated for four Golden Globes, the Critics Choice and SAG awards, along with winning more audience awards than any other film.

Lion had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2016, was released in the United States on November 25, and is set for release in Australia January 19th and the UK January 20th by The Weinstein Company.
