Bird began her advertising career as an art director at Leo Burnett, Toronto. It’s this foundation that helps inform her directing, infusing natural performances with a strong attention to brand messaging.

Bird’s emotive piece for Myer, ‘Give Registry’ via Clemenger BBDO Melbourne saw real-life interviews become haunting voiceovers to create a TVC campaign with a powerful message.

On an entirely different emotional scale, her work for Health Partners via SDWM is a lighthearted take on Health Insurance.

Bird’s work has featured on Vimeo Staff Picks, and in 2016 she picked up a coveted Cannes Young Director Award for her ‘Mean Tweets’ commercial, depicting the genuine struggles of homelessness.

Says Adrian Bosich, managing partner, AIRBAG: “Angie is a raw talent – her work is utterly filled with empathy, which makes it all feel very observed. Her work on Give Registry really hit me in the heart, and cut through a lot of the noise.”

Bird currently splits her time between Toronto and Melbourne.
