Whitney, who has more than 20 years experience in the industry, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Clockwork Films. Having cut his teeth in the advertising industry in London where he worked for over 10 years, Whitney returned to Sydney where he quickly gained respect as a creative producer.  At BWM he built a highly respected production department, which he managed for 10 years, before being head hunted to the role of national head of broadcast, JWT, which he held for nearly four years.  From there, he transitioned to the dark side (production), taking the reigns at Invisible Artists, growing its live action capabilities.

When co-founders of Clockwork Films, Jamie Cohen and Heath George went looking for an EP, they decided that with Whitney’s experience and respect in the industry, it was an easy choice.

Says Cohen: “Apart from being ridiculously handsome, Damien’s built a reputation for being an excellent producer, a straight shooter and is widely respected throughout the business.  The fact that he has a lot of friends and not ‘colleagues’ throughout the industry says a lot about his character.  He is not only passionate about making great work, but his deep understanding of agency and client needs and machinations will make him an invaluable asset to our offering.”

Says Whitney: “Jamie and Heath know production inside and out and have an excellent roster of directors.  They have a great understanding for what is required in the current landscape of production and onscreen requirements.  Their business has grown incredibly quickly due to the talent they have onboard and the fact they are so down to earth and easy to deal with.  I am really excited by what 2017 has in store, providing Trump doesn’t make a mess of the world!”
