The illustration roster is purposely boutique, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in punch, hosting a carefully selected offering of exceptional contemporary illustration talent including well-known names such as La Boca and Velvet Spectrum (formerly Vault 49).

Says Thompson: “With Maker’s Mgmt it’s about breaking down location boundaries to bring some of the world’s best illustrators to the Australasian advertising marketplace. We are focused on building great relationships with clients and making it easy for them to choose the artist who’s best for the job, not necessarily the artist closest to their office.”

Says Thompson: “These artists are artists we have admired for a very long time, some are at the top of the game and some on their way, but they all have something very special. It is our intention with Maker’s Mgmt to encourage clients to push the boundaries, utilise the ideas these artists have and really make use of what they have to offer no matter how big or small the project.”

With plans underway to grow and introduce new artists from New Zealand, Australia and the world throughout 2017, the agency will continue to stay on the smaller side, ensuring it’s easy to navigate the talent and that both clients and artists receive dedicated service.

It has decorated Castle Towers Mall in Sydney, worked on packaging projects and had one of its first projects voted ‘This Summer’s Best Australian Wine Label‘ by Gourmet Traveller.
