2017-03-30 04.05.16 1 (1).jpgOn Tuesday night, the ARIA-nominated Melbourne rockers Kingswood rolled into Nylon Studios on their motorbikes, as advertising folk from across Sydney emerged to experience one of Australia’s most talked-about rock ‘n’ roll bands, performing for the first Nylon Studios’ Coach House Session of 2017.

Two tour buses full of gear and accompanying entourage, the Triple J Hottest 100 band treated guests to an intimate performance in Nylon’s Coach House Studio. Like true rockstars, their performance was filled with energy and soul.

Kingswood_Tour_By_Ian_Laidlaw-4 (1).jpgTuesday’s event was spearheaded by Nylon’s licensing manager and music supervisor, Chelsea Ramsden. Ramsden, who in her four months with the Nylon crew has already worked with brands including Samsung, Mazda and ME Bank, was stoked to be able to launch the year with such a great homegrown talent.

Says Ramsden: “It’s so important for the music and advertising worlds to keep in touch, and how better than getting to experience first hand some of Australia’s best talent up-close and live. The Coach House Sessions are a great way of nurturing a relationship between the two industries, which creatively are already aligned. And through the addition of good pizza, beer and conversation, the partnership grows.”

The Coach House Sessions have been a signature Nylon event featuring artists such as Megan Washington, Gin Wigmore, more recently, Sydney’s own Polish Club. Nylon Studios New York also holds a counterpart event, SoHo Sessions, in its Wooster St studio. Both events provide a rare chance for the advertising world to experience intimate performances and live recordings of some of Australia’s, and the world’s, incredible musical talent.
