Grech-Dixon-pic.jpgAfter a four year stint Aussie expats Eamonn Dixon and Daniel Grech have departed AKQA for Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco.

While at AKQA, where they were named in Adweek’s Creative 100, the team created some of the agency’s most awarded work, including “The Last Shot” for Jordan Brand. The interactive installation allowed people to step into Michael Jordan’s shoes and step back in time to recreate his greatest shots. The work would go on to be described as “the world’s coolest basketball court” by WIRED Magazine and become the most-awarded piece at The One Show 2016.

Additionally, while at AKQA, the team created a series of digital products and services for Anheuser-Busch, including a platform for friends to share beers through Facebook with “Buds for Buds” and the world’s first one-tap beer delivery app “The Bud Light Button.”

“Dan and Eamonn put creativity and innovation at the center of everything they do. They have produced some of the most inventive work in the industry, consistently finding new and meaningful ways to connect brands with people. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do for GS&P,” said Margaret Johnson, partner and CCO, Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

Dixon and Grech are originally from Melbourne, where they began working together at DDB. Prior to moving to the US, the duo already had a series of award-winning campaigns under their belts including “Radiant Return”, “BYO Cup Day” for Slurpee, and “The Open Book Project” to name a few.
