The agency’s development team has consistently grown at a rate of 30-40% each year for the past four years.

After a global search, both candidates were promoted from within the agency. Mashaal will lead web and platforms, while Rose leads product and comms.

CHE Proximity managing director Michael Titshall says the agency has grown to a point where it necessitated appointing two directors.

CHEP Dev team (1).jpgSays Titshall: “The challenge for development teams is to skillfully support the breadth of technologies required to enable cross-platform experiences. It made sense to appoint two Technical Directors to service this complexity. After looking at talent from around the world, we realised just how superior Matt and Omar are at a global level.

“Both leaders will be leading a transformation agenda for CHE Proximity clients to more fluid and connected digital ecosystems.”

Says Mashaal: “Embracing open-source technology will unlock greater potential amongst the team and wider development community, in order to deliver the most modern work possible. While a switch in mindset from ‘development’ to ‘engineering’ will give a more technical focus early on in the problem-solving phase.

Says Rose: “Working smarter with Continuous Integration and code automation will allow us to continue to focus on building superior digital experiences and innovating with bleeding edge technologies.”

The appointments are effective immediately.
