An annual three-day festival, anchored at Melbourne’s Federation Square, Pause 2017 saw 180 of the world’s foremost digital trailblazers from organisations including NASA, PIxar, Lucasfilm, Google, Dropbox, Etsy, The Mill and AKQA come together with more than 12,000 participants to explore the trends, tech and set to disrupt the digital industries.

Says George Hedon (below, left), pZti0B1chbDgCZlBcva9ZRatoqDUL7o7L4Ko7zCQkt8.jpgfestival founder: “Pause is attended by creatives, corporates and tech heads alike and is considered a mandatory pitstop on the event circuit for those constantly in search of what’s next for their industry. With this in mind, we’re seeking expressions of interest for the 2018 programme that d0Nq5oTqI2UTRxHRhBn-8AYavFhicJrUW59B2rUXwxQ (1).jpgpropose content on the knife-edge of innovation – something that is set to truly revolutionise the digital landscape.”

Centred on the theme of ‘Journey = Destination’, the 2018 festival will delve deep into the process of making ideas a reality, with the intention of inspiring attendees to pursue their own journeys, take risks and become the changemakers of tomorrow.

Says Hedon: “It doesn’t matter whether you’re an industry veteran or a startup at the very beginning of your journey, if your story is one of harnessing creativity, overcoming challenges and making it happen, then we want to hear from you.”

Interested parties can submit their expression of interest here, where they will be asked to provide an overview of their concept and their preferred delivery day (Creative, Tech or Business), ahead of the closing date on 7 July. Expressions of interest will then be reviewed by a judging panel and successful applicants invited to progress to the next stage of the registration process in September 2017. All applicants must be available between 7 and 9 February 2018.
