AWARD has revealed that DJ L.K McKay (left) will join the 38th AWARD Awards, next Friday, 26 May at Carriageworks in Sydney. If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, now is the time. AWARD & corporate members $300 (inc GST) / Non-members $350 (inc GST).
The Adelaide writer and producer has been one of the driving forces behind Australian hip hop starlet Tkay Maidza, co-writing an producing her Australian radio hits “Simulation”, ‘U-Huh’ and ‘M.O.B’, and serving as her live DJ since 2013. His songs feature on her debut album TKAY and have been licensed in campaigns for Twitter, Instagram, Bose, Foxtel, Berlei and Super Netball Australia.
He’s only recently started producing solo material, with his first track premiering on Clash last year. As part of Tkay Maidza’s live setup, he’s toured with some of music’s biggest names, including Charli XCX, Years & Years and Mark Ronson.
