“I’ve been singing since I was a child because my father was an opera singer in Milano. He was the one that found my voice and told me that I must sing. For me it’s a passion. I have a business driving hundreds of artists and musicians around Cannes, but that is just a job. I sing because you can’t compare the feeling. Wherever the parties are – Paris, England, Ireland, Italy – I make people smile. And when they smile, I smile. I was supposed to finish at 11pm because the people in the rooms upstairs complain about the noise…but I will sing one more song.” – Vincent Cicocolla, Martinez Hotel, Cannes

DSCF1500.jpgBefore we were serenaded by Vince – bookings: contact@galacticaproductions.com – we caught the Q & A with the innovation finalists. It’s where the brains behind each entry get grilled on the nitty gritties of their concept. Picture the James Comey hearing but with more paisley. We sat in on The Billion Colour Film session, which got thrown some curly ones: “Can humans even see a billion colours?” Fair point. “Haven’t production companies got z_sign off.jpgsimilar software already?” Good one. Isn’t there another TV with a billion colours now? Another good one, but obviously not unexpected with the guys handling this query and the others with the composure of an unemployed FBI director.

Tomorrow our Young Lions Cyber competition kicks off. Word on the rue, watch out for the Russians.
