Millington_Being.jpgOff the back of two awards at St Kilda Film Festival last week, Oh Yeah Wow continues to expand its portfolio and reach, now offering its VFX and animation services to the wider world.

It’s a natural progression for the studio who are behind some of the most iconic music videos of the last decade.

Says Darcy Prendergast, founder, Oh Yeah Wow: “We’ve had a huge focus on VFX and animation for our own projects and we’ve had increasing interest from commercial clients. We’ve garnered a lot of attention and awards for our VFX and animation work, so we thought, why be selfish and keep that purely to ourselves? Why not offer it to the world in exchange for money and/or drink tokens?”

Optus_Bolt_Hero.jpgWith an impressive roster of work for brands like Coca Cola, Samsung, Ikea, Carlton & United, Nickelodeon and Gillette, its most recent post production offering is a TVC for Optus. Featuring 8 time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, the mixed media approach rolled all of the skillsets of

the OYW crew into one 45 second bundle of ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ fast cut action.

With a focus on VFX, 2D, 3D and Stop Motion animation, as well as offering a roster of directors, Oh Yeah Wow’s passion for visual trickery and innovation has never been more evident.

Says Prendergast: “With a core team that’s been working together for over 10 years we’ve developed a shorthand internally that gives us a real advantage on any production. We’ve never done things in halves and we bring that mentality into each collaboration.”
