GPJ Australia executive chairman and Australian events industry legend Peter Rix steps down

Peter Rix - GPJ Australia (1).jpgAustralian events industry legend and lifetime achievement award recipient Peter Rix will be stepping down as executive chairman of GPJ Australia after 14 years in the role, but will continue as non-executive chairman through until December 2017.

Peter has led GPJ in the acquisition and retention of some of our strongest client relationships including Toyota, IBM, AWS, HIA, APRA and Oracle. His attention to detail and commitment to creative excellence has set an industry benchmark.  We are proud and privileged to have shared in his historic journey and look forward to continuing our success under the strong Australian management team Peter has nurtured.”

Caleb’s leadership over the past year has been exemplary and I am confident I am leaving our operations in capable hands. Rix’s impact over 45 years looms large in the events and music industry following a legendary career including music artist management, the creation and production of the ARIA Music Awards for 15 years, through to involvement in production of the Sydney Olympic Games, National Rugby League grand finals and myriad corporate events for significant global brands. Rix received a lifetime achievement award at the 2011 Australian Event Industry Awards.
