GPJ Australia executive chairman and Australian events industry legend Peter Rix steps down

Australian events industry legend and lifetime achievement award recipient Peter Rix will be stepping down as executive chairman of GPJ Australia after 14 years in the role, but will continue as non-executive chairman through until December 2017.

Rix’s impact over 45 years looms large in the events and music industry following a legendary career including music artist management, the creation and production of the ARIA Music Awards for 15 years, through to involvement in production of the Sydney Olympic Games, National Rugby League grand finals and myriad corporate events for significant global brands. Rix received a lifetime achievement award at the 2011 Australian Event Industry Awards.
