AlexTheAstronaut.jpgWrapping up work on campaigns for clients including Qantas, Kit Kat and Jack Daniels, Red Note has enjoyed a busy first half of the year and to celebrate has launched Red Note Sessions, an exclusive industry event series to showcase local and international talent making soundwaves in the music world.

Red Note Sessions sees the independent Sydney sound house team up with music publishers to present live, intimate express gigs by emerging artists. The latest artist to feature was Amela, a 23-year-old Bosnian born, multi-instrumentalist who is creating a groundswell of intrigue locally.

Red Note managing director Greg Townley says the studio is receiving a great response not only from clients and agency partners but also music publishers looking to promote their talent to targeted audiences. The sound house has already partnered with Cooking Vinyl, Perfect Pitch and Universal Music.

The next session will see Red Note host Universal Music artist Alex the Astronaut whose single is currently in rotation on Triple J. According to The Huffington Post, Alex is “the busiest woman in music – studying astrophysics and burning up the radio waves at the same time.”

Townley says having access to such talent and introducing them to the local advertising scene is one way for the studio to give back to its clients and at the same time remain fresh when it comes to discovering the latest music sensations to partner up with.

Says Townley: “We are thrilled to launch Red Note Sessions and to effectively take the pulse of the best music coming out locally.

“Music publishers now get the chance to showcase their talent directly to the hottest agencies and production companies in town, and it gives adland creatives and producers the opportunity to uncover emerging artists as they perform for them in an intimate setting.”

Red Note plans to unearth buzz worthy artists across a diverse array of genres spreading the airwaves beyond singer/songwriters to also include hip hop artists, classic pianists and electronica pioneers fresh from releasing their latest album or coming off tour.

Says Townley: “The music we compose for our clients is really diverse so it makes sense for us to seek out artists from all musical backgrounds. Clients come to us for bespoke music so the sessions are an excellent branding exercise to showcase our broad and eclectic sound offering.”

Red Note Sessions are also filmed and following the event the studio delivers a high quality post mix of the live show, providing the artist with uniquely shareable content that is also seeded out to Red Note subscribers and across the studio’s social channels.

Alex The Astronaut will play at Red Note Sessions this Thursday, July 6th 2017 at 5pm. To RSVP and get your name on the door click here or email greg@rednote.com.au.
