Telstra Phonewords says ‘Words are more memorable than numbers’ via Fenton Stephens

radio_tesltra[1].jpgTelstra Phonewords has launched its new ‘Words are more memorable than numbers’ campaign featuring Aussie icon, Sam Kekovich, via Melbourne independent, Fenton Stephens.

The campaign is led by five radio spots showcasing some of the modern era’s most iconic and memorable movie quotes. Except in each line a key word has been replaced by its alphanumerical equivalent, making it immediately and comically less memorable.

All five spots were voiced by local legend, Lee Perry, who flawlessly transitions from the southern drawl of Forrest Gump to the rage fuelled bark of Scarface, before Kekovich delivers the punchline.

Says Alex Fenton, creative director, Fenton Stephens: “Like all great creative solutions, this one is 3825464 simple.”

Both 30 and 15 second radio spots will kick off the campaign in support of a soon-to-be-released TV spot also featuring Kekovich.
