Ben Sampson returns from San Francisco to join The Monkeys in the role of creative director

Ben Sampson (1).jpgThe Monkeys has appointed award-winning creative director Ben Sampson, who arrives home to Sydney after a year-and-a half in San Francisco, working as a creative director at Argonaut.

Drawn to San Fran by the opportunity to work on tech giant Fitbit, his Effie award-winning work helped the company stay ahead of Apple in wearable tech.

Prior to this, Sampson was a director at Idea Gallery - a creative collective working with innovative agencies and brands from Sydney to Dublin. As a creative director working on Coke Zero, Sampson's 'Just Add Zero' campaign was the first Australian work to be adapted globally by Coke.

Sampson was founding partner at creative hotshop Happy Soldiers, where his work including Tontine 'Date-Stamped Pillows' and 'Zuji Beans' showed-off his talent for innovation.
Sampson is also co-founder of Sydney's first and largest online fixed-price florist, Little Flowers.

Says Scott Nowell, co-founder and CCO, The Monkeys: "Ben's won all the industry awards, worked with the world's biggest brands and has had great success in different creative ventures. He's one of the industry's most innovative and entrepreneurial thinkers, which suits our culture to a T."
