Two-time Walkley award winner, ABC News Breakfast co-presenter Virginia Trioli (left) will host Radio Alive 2017 Q&A with guests to include communications minister, senator the Hon Mitch Fifield and ABC managing director Michelle Guthrie. Other key panelists will be released over the coming weeks.
Says Joan Warner, chief executive of Commercial Radio Australia: "Q&A is driven by interaction and the radio industry is all about interaction with the audience, so we're looking forward to a stimulating and robust discussion panel that will discuss not just media-related issues but a number of wide-ranging topics that our attendees will be asking the panel."

The radio industry's annual events, the gala Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) and the Radio Alive 2017 conference are back in Melbourne this October and tickets go on sale today.

Commercial radio's events have grown in stature each year, the fiercely competitive radio industry put rivalries aside for the staging of the Radio Alive 2017 conference on Friday, 13 October and the highlight of the radio industry's calendar the 29th annual ACRAs on Saturday, 14 October both being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Each year the conference provides a forum for robust discussion on the radio industry and attracts key industry speakers that set the industry agenda, challenge the status quo and tackle the industry issues head on.  In addition, agenda setting creative influencers address topics that stimulate debate.

At the ACRAs more than 1200 on air presenters, behind the scenes staff, and executives from stations across Australia attend the celebration with live Australian entertainment and presentation of awards in 33 categories.

ACRAs host, presenters and entertainment, plus conference speakers will be announced over the coming weeks.
