Agency of the Year Winner (1).jpgTBWA Sydney & Maud have been named Agency of the Year at the 26th annual Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) Awards, held last Friday night.

The awards recognised the creative skills of up-and-coming talent and industry leaders.

Creatives, retailers, producers and agencies were amongst a record attendance of 734 guests all awaiting to hear who had been crowned ‘Agency of the Year’.

TBWA Sydney and Maud were successful in securing the award for ‘Agency of the Year’. The agency had a big year winning another four awards for David Jones with ‘Catalogue Retailer of the Year – up to 1.5M’, ‘Kitchen and Home Interior’, ‘Chain and Department Stores’, and ‘Online Retailers’.

TBWA Sydney & Maud took the title over tough competition with the finalists including Clemenger BBDO for Myer, AJF Partnership for Vintage Cellars, and Plump + Spry for Grand Central Shopping Centre.

Says Jenny Calcott, production designer, TBWA: “We are honoured to win the title of Agency of the Year. We’re very proud of our efforts and are thrilled to be among such credible names. Well done to the TBWA team for producing outstanding work over the past year. We are excited for the year ahead.”

Clemenger BBDO and the BCF in-house team took out the Award for the prestigious ‘Judge’s Choice’ for its work on ‘The BCFing Winter Fashion Collection’ for BCF (Boating, Camping and Fishing).

Says Emma Yerbury, marketing coordinator at BCF (Boating, Camping and Fishing): “We are truly grateful to be awarded Judge’s Choice for 2017. Our strategy proved to be successful as we worked together to combine a strong range with engaging creative and product range to intrigue customers.”

Says Kellie Northwood, chief executive officer, ACA: “Tonight is an important night in the catalogue and letterbox marketing industry as we celebrate the powerful work from retailers, agencies, printers and distributers, and their marketing throughout the year. As 69% of the population engage with catalogues, it is amazing to celebrate those across Australian and New Zealand who are working this channel harder every year. A big congratulations to TBWA Sydney & Maud for being awarded with ‘Agency of the Year’. A well-deserved award for their outstanding work.”
