PublicisQ managing director Simone Waugh has announced the appointments of Jane Young as client services director and Alexandra Sundqvist as digital projects director. Young is formerly general manager of Ogilvy Brisbane and has a 15-year career working in the UK, New Zealand and Australia at high profile agencies also including DLKW and Sapient. She has specialised in leading client and agency relationships with particular focuses in the travel, retail, FMCG and government sectors. At PublicisQ she will focus on the efficiency and unity of the agency teams developing client campaigns.

Sundqvist has more than 10 years’ experience in the digital industry, working in well-known agencies in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region including Deasign in Stockholm, Ogilvy and world-famous digital consultants Hyper Island. She has driven large-scale digital projects for government agencies and private sector clients and specialises in helping organisations transform to place digital at the core of their businesses. At PublicisQ, she will focus on expanding and integrating digital specialisations within the agency to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet changing customer expectations and opportunities.

Says Waugh: “Both Alex and Jane bring high levels of expertise to PublicisQ and they are both specialists in shaping agencies’ capabilities for clients. We are constantly evolving to differentiate the agency in two ways – our goal of championing Queensland creativity and supporting that through skills in digital and data integration, customer experience, design, shopper marketing and activations.”

Sundqvist and Young are the latest senior appointments of PublicisQ. In August the agency announced the appointments of Lee Griffin as creative director and David Schaak as the agency’s first head of art.
