1% tells the gritty tale of Paddo, the heir to the throne of an outlaw bikie gang who must betray his president to save his brother’s life. The film is produced by Jamie Hilton and Michael Pontin of See Pictures and Ticket To Ride.

A24’s previous purchases include the Oscar best picture winner, Moonlight.

The script was written by Matt Nable, who stars in the film alongside Ryan Corr, Abbey Lee and a large ensemble of Australian talent.

Says Adrian Bosich, managing partner, AIRBAG: “It’s brilliant to see the success Stephen has had with 1%, and we’re super excited to have his talents available again in the commercial realm.”
