Carwash brushes get down and dirty in latest Hyundai campaign via Innocean Australia
Colourful stuff from Hyundai this week as it launches its Compact SUV with new creative from Innocean Worldwide Australia.
A young couple take their new Kona through a car wash, but the brushes follow it out and give it some extra special loving. The music track was composed especially for the spot and Hyundai have already received numerous calls from people asking what it is and where they can download it.
Says Steve Jackson, executive creative director, Innocean Worldwide Australia: “Who would’ve thought car wash brushes could twerk and gyrate like that? But, then again, it is a rather sexy looking car. We’re striving for work the Aussie public love to watch and talk about and hopefully this one resonates like the last two big campaigns, both of which resulted in fresh consideration for the brand.
Says Andrew Knox, GM of marketing, Hyundai: “We put our faith in Steve and his team and the result is something that’s fun and really stands out. We’re up for big ideas and we’re excited about what Jacko has up his sleeve in the next 12 months.”
The campaign will be seen across TV and cinema, outdoor, digital, print and has included a Dance Off activation and a consumer promotion through Sunrise.

Can I just say, before the army of link-posters jumps in to point out how similiar to this or that it is, and before anyone gets all like dismissive and shit, that this is a fucking great spot. It really is. How fun is it? How much do those swishy brushes love that car? It’s just a car ad, but I want to watch it again. I want to watch a car wash brush twerking a Hyundai. That’s what advertising is all about.
you know we all have the internet too right?
you put the copy in copy
Isn’t this meant to be an ad about a car?
Is that brush thing humping the car?
Agree with the first comment – this is mighty fine advertising!
The car itself is very late to the game Vs a bunch of competitors but this work is so fresh and fun it cuts right through and tells you what they want you to hear – this thing is so much more fun than your car! Sweet. Simple, Effective.
I work for a rival agency and I’m already using this campaign in meetings with clients to remind them of the importance of mass appeal and simple messaging. Love how they’ve given the various features their own little spots rather than cramming it all into a 30 and 15 cut down like most car advertisers.
Well done all involved!
Great to see something that has over saturated design and
motion feeds for the past 3 years has finally made it to a TVC.
Well executed
Interesting idea switching out the sexy car wash babes with the washy sponges.
Totally f*cked the execution though.
Why are they randomly hip-hop dancing instead of humping, rubbing?
It’s like the art exhibition in Sydney that EVERYONE saw. Only executed with extra cheese, for an ad.
But go on, pour yourselves a beer lads. Killed it.
It is a cool track. And I like the simplicity of it. Well done.
Iām into this. Well done.
Good one, Robin, Guy, Jacko!
Nice one boys š
Seen em on TV.
Like em.
Good for what they are.
Nice work!

Great ad. Should be more like it. Where can I get one of those costumes.š
Great ad, anyone know the name of the song please?
Love the ad its fun (most car ads are soooo boorish) but I really love/want the music…its really “ads” to the overall fun effect. How can I get a copy of the music?…is the artist Nylon??? what is the song called?? Someone please do tell!!!
Anyone know where to get these brush costumes from?
