Isobar is one of Australia’s most recognised and awarded digital agencies.  And that’s not by accident.  Powering digital transformation has required them to constantly evolve their offering, recruit with intention, mobilise teams with strategic tools and processes and continually experiment with emerging technology.

But without vision to see how markets are shifting and the leadership to identify, organise and drive new opportunities, our industry can easily miss the mark, getting caught up in the story. This is why Isobar has focused on ensuring they have the right people to cut through the noise, challenge conventional wisdom and achieve real outcomes.

It was a rigorous selection process involving both internal and external candidates and after putting everyone through considerable paces, Hallander’s extensive international experience, most recently across the Asia Pacific region, coupled with his background in technology and proven skills adapting and winning in an ever-changing landscape is what helped him stand out.

In conjunction with Isobar Australia’s leadership team, Hallander will run Isobar Australia moving forward. Konrad Spilva (above left), CEO of Isobar Group ANZ will remain with the business but elevate his focus to Isobar Group with Hallander continuing to report to Spilva.

Says Spilva: “Erik’s no-bullshit approach has made him a great leader, positively influencing the culture of the entire agency through his creativity and passion. In appointing this role, it was incredibly important to find a someone who could hero our technical strengths as well as have the commercial acumen to deliver radically meaningful outcomes for our clients. He refuses to accept the status quo, champions diversity of thinking and we are proud to have been able to promote from within.”

Says Hallander: “Isobar to me represents the business that’s best placed to meet some of the challenges that our industry will face over the next years. With a heritage of getting our hands dirty and actually delivering whatever we imagine, the potential for incredible work and the no-bullshit mindset of the people here is undeniable. I’m super excited to help foster this brilliance in the team over the coming years.”
