The course is an opportunity for advertising creatives to acquire new skills required to spearhead the industry’s next generation of creative leaders.

The three-day intensive features modules spearheaded by leading ECDs, agency CEOs and CFOs. Sessions are highly interactive, combining workshops, panels, role plays and Q&As across three central themes:

Day 1: From creating to leading

Day 2: The business of creativity

Day 3: Exploring the CD role

Chaired and curated by partner at Gutthink & Partners and BMF founder, Warren Brown the Residential is Australia’s only custom-designed course of its kind for senior creatives looking to transition into leadership roles.

Brown has selected daily co-chairs to assist him in delivery of course content.

Says Brown: “Being a great creative is a terrific ambition, being great at helping others achieve that goal is entirely different. There are many qualities that make a CD successful so it was important that the credentials of the daily co-chairs chosen, ticked every box that I could think of.”

Leadership is primarily about providing inspiration, being supportive and building confidence in the team around you. There’s also a heap of important stuff that goes with being a CD, stuff you can only get from experience. I’m sure the attendees will benefit greatly from the experience the co-chairs have. Hopefully for those on the course it’ll be an eye opener.”

CLC-news-cochairs.jpgIn Melbourne, day one will be co-chaired by Paul Reardon, executive creative director, TBWA Melbourne, chief creative officer, at Leo Burnett Australia, Jason Williams will flank Brown on day two and Scott Nowell co-founder and chief creative officer of renowned agency: The Monkeys will tackle day three. To ensure delegates experience concentrated mentoring, practical experience and tangible learnings, the group is capped at sixteen.

The Creative Leadership Residential is proudly presented by AWARD; Australia’s longest-standing and most respected professional development program for creatives. The course is exclusive to corporate members of The Communications Council.
