Tim Clark-0086 (1).jpgWe Are Explorers, an Australian adventure-publisher and production studio, has launched a fresh new content series: My Wild Home.

The films are rooted in authenticity; partnering with global adventure brands to create inspiring narrative alongside stunning visual content from Australia’s wildest places.

The first episode showcases the Australian Alps in a way they’ve never been seen before, through the lens of professional freeskier Coen Bennie-Faull. The films ponders questions around what fuels our passions, and the result is a powerful story about love, loss and inspiration.

Tim Clark-4654 (1).jpgSays Henry Brydon, head of production at We Are Explorers: “What makes this approach to content so exciting is that these are genuine adventures we’re embarking on; eventualities cannot necessarily be predicted and stories change. Its 100% real.”

Shot over 7 days, the crew trekked deep into the backcountry and camped on the Western Faces of the Snowy Mountains, biding their time for the right pockets of weather. Shot by cinematographer Hayden Griffiths, their mid-winter shoot was a logistical ‘challenge’ that included extreme winds and blizzards.

In addition to the 5 min short film, image libraries were created for their supporting partners (Suunto, Arc’teryx, Osprey, Nemo and Stanley) as well as in field gear testing and reviews.

Upcoming adventures for the explorer crew include diving sinkholes on the Nullarbor, packrafting the Franklin River in Tasmania and living remotely on an island off the coast of Tropical North Queensland.
