Ceri and Paul.jpgSydney and New York-based music and sound house, Nylon Studios, has expanded this week announcing the opening of Nylon Studios Melbourne.

Nylon welcomes Ceri Davies and Paul Le Couteur to front the newest expansion bringing their years of experience in music and post sound production. Le Couteur is recognised internationally as one of the best sound engineers in the country having worked closely with executive producer, Davies, for many years. Together with their combined experience and industry reputation, Davies and Le Couteur form a dream team for Nylon Studios Melbourne.

Says Hamish Macdonald, global EP, Nylon Studios: “Everyone in the business knows how incredibly talented Paul is as an engineer, and probably even more know how wonderfully skilled, friendly and unflappable Ceri is as an EP. We are thoroughly excited to finally be putting some roots down in Melbourne, and further developing on our desire to produce nothing but great sound and music production.”

Production is to be fully integrated with both Sydney and New York offices, allowing Nylon to continue to expand on their promise to deliver outstanding original composition, music licensing and sound design to the Australian and International market.

Says Le Couteur: “I am incredibly excited and thrilled at the opportunity to work with Hamish, Simon and the whole Nylon team in establishing Nylon’s Melbourne studios. Ceri and I are looking forward to the challenge and are savoring the chance to build something really special in Melbourne.”

Le Couteur and Davies have found a temporary Nylon Studios home at 165 Banks St, South Melbourne but anticipate to open a shiny new home and permanent studio in very early 2018.
