Nitin Mistry_hi.jpgSydney-based creative communications firm, The 6AM Agency, has today announced the appointment of Nitin Mistry as executive creative director.

Mistry was most recently creative director at Deepend. During his two and a half years there, his work was recognised with multiple awards including a Webby, AIMIA awards and the AIMIA Grand Prix, AWARD award, Global Healthcare award and an IAB Creative Showcase. His appointment sees him reunited with former Deepend colleague Adam Washington, recently announced as 6AM’s CEO.

Originating from London, Mistry’s more than 20 year career has included creative and digital roles at Isobar, Agency Republic, Orchard and M&C Saatchi’s Make, working on brands such as  Optus, Red Balloon, Virgin Active, Coca Cola, Bonds and Westpac.

Mistry’s appointment signals a further step in The 6AM Agency’s rapid evolution from a PR firm to a modern creative marketing solutions agency, while continuing to leverage the firm’s deep wellbeing specialisation.

Says Washington: “I’m thrilled Nitin will be our executive creative director. I know first-hand the quality of his thinking, and couldn’t hope for a better creative leader to take us forward.  His hire is key in our transformation to a strategy-led, integrated creative communications model.”

Says Mistry: “I’m excited to join 6AM. The team has a real drive for creativity, and I’m honoured to be joining the leadership in shaping the next phase of growth and creative excellence.”

Formerly Brand New Solutions, The 6AM Agency was founded in 2002 by wellbeing communications expert and author Gillian Fish, and today has an extensive portfolio of health, wellbeing and lifestyle clients based in Australia, Japan and the United States.
