University of Southern Queensland shows the power of support in new film via Brother & Co.

Screen Shot 2017-11-15 at 6.44.06 am.jpgThe University of Southern Queensland (USQ) has released its latest brand film, demonstrating how belief inspires bravery, through Brisbane based independent brand and creative agency, Brother & Co.

A continuation of its Unleash your Fearless campaign, the film shows how support and encouragement grows resilience, and concludes with an online student being empowered through support from the USQ team.

Says Helen Nolan, executive director of marketing and student attraction, USQ: "Many of our online students are mature aged students, so it made sense to use a similar character for our film. It also allowed us to show our understanding of what they go through, and the support they need, not just in their studies, but to manage their busy lives."

Says Piet Human, creative director and co-founder, Brother & Co: "We avoided the familiar category narratives of smiling students and campus life, to tell a richer more emotive story demonstrating how belief inspires bravery."

To ensure the most authentic performances, USQ, Brother and director Hailey Bartholomew worked together to find a real USQ alumna Kate Murphy to star in the lead role, while talented young actors rounded out the younger cast.

Says Human: "We're blessed to be in the safe hands of Hailey, who well and truly delivered vivid and authentic storytelling in this film."

The films are currently running as TV and web video and are supported by USQ's end of year recruitment campaign.
