Online Circle Digital picks up Shorty Social Good Award for Mercedes-Benz ‘Love Is Love’ work

Love is Love (1).jpgDigital indie shop Online Circle Digital has taken home a Shorty Social Good Award for its “Love Is Love” campaign, produced for Mercedes-Benz.

The international Shorty Awards honour the best of social media and awarded “Love is Love” the winner in the automotive category.

Both Online Circle Digital and Mercedes-Benz proudly stand for equality in status, rights and opportunities. In an age where our society is changing and evolving, both companies believe that equality is a fundamental social principle.

Utilising its own Facebook and Instagram channels, Mercedes-Benz created its “Love is Love” video, a short clip of hands of all races, colours, sexes and backgrounds holding the Mercedes-Benz star with one simple, global message: Love is Love.

The response to the locally produced video was incredibly supportive. It went viral within 48 hours and was shared all over the world in Germany, Italy, Norway, Greece, South Africa, Dubai and the United Kingdom.

“Love is Love” caught the attention of 13 media outlets and reached an estimated 15 million people in few days. It garnered 5,320 social media mentions as well as multiple calls to the Mercedes-Benz customer service teams to offer personal messages of praise and thanks.

2017 has been a year of triumphs for Online Circle Digital. The agency also took home the esteemed ADMA “Best Use of Search” in 2017 award with its newly formed Media department.
