Optus' original music series 'Closer' via Emotive launches latest episode with Charlie Puth

The American singer, songwriter and music producer gives an insight into his daily rituals, musical inspiration and the incredible talent behind his unique sound, in a career that has already featured a No.1 single and multiple Top 10 hits on the US Billboard Charts.

At just 26, Charlie has collaborated with some of the world's biggest music stars including Wiz Khalifa, Selena Gomez and Megan Trainor, and is excited be giving his Australian fans an up close and personal view of how he makes music.

"Closer is a great way to show my Australian fans where and how my music is made, I have a unique style and it's great to be able to share some of these secrets in my own home," Charlie said.

"When I go to Australia it's going to be a party, I know I'm going to have so much fun," he added.
Closer has launched across all of Optus' and Charlie's social media platforms and is the second episode of the series, which was kicked off by international music star Anne-Marie, who is most famous for her multi- platinum single, Rockabye.

Closer delivers intimate and behind-the-scenes footage of global artists in their most relaxed and honest environments. The original series demonstrates Optus' commitment to bringing Australians closer to the music they love.

Optus' Head of TV and Content, Corin Dimopoulos said he was keen to continue to deliver Optus customers a real-world behind the scenes experience of some world's best musical artists.
"It was great working with Charlie Puth for the first time - he is an incredibly talented artist with a huge following worldwide. Our first episode of Closer was very successful with more than 1 million views and I know Australians are going to love the latest episode in the Closer series," said Mr Dimopoulos.

Launched in November, the Closer series shines light on the moments that would normally be reserved for a music artist's family members or best friends. Eligible Optus customers can enjoy data free music streaming on Google Play, iHeartRadio and Spotify.
