Hopgood, who was formerly the principle sound designer at Sound Lounge, made the jump after Sound Lounge’s parent company, Method Studios, closed down recently.

Hopgood’s sound designing history is long and distinguished. Prior to Sound Lounge, he worked at the legendary Flint Webster, spent years at Good Audio Sense, and did a stint at Soundfirm in Shanghai.

Says Polly McGregor, director, Bang Bang: “We’re lucky to have someone like Sam on board. He adds a huge amount to what we can offer. People love him because he’s great creatively, and he’s really lovely to work with.”

Says Hopgood: “The Bang Bang team are a great bunch, very talented and supportive. We’ve been friends for a long time, so it’s great that we’re now working together.”

Hopgood’s move to Bang Bang coincides with the creation of Mr Fox, a video post production company that emerged from the ashes of Method and also moved into Bang Bang’s Southbank building at the same time. Mr. Fox is Andy & Felicity Stalph, Clare Lehner, Emily Robb and Drew Moden.
