Curator Share Image (1).jpgAustralian startup, Curator.io, has launched under Aardwolf Ventures with its sights set on the advertising industry as a key market for its new Social Media Aggregator tool.

The new startup already has a few hundred paying clients ranging from ad agencies and design firms to bakeries, e-commerce stores and musicians.

Curator is the third business to launch as part of the Aardwolf Ventures portfolio, run by Mike Hill, former CEO of Holler.

Says Hill: “Having worked in adland for years, I know how expensive and complex the competing platforms are. We launched Curator to offer a low cost, no nonsense solution for ad agencies to quickly curate fan content for their campaigns. Agencies can use our free tier to see if it’s what they need for their campaign without charge.”

Hill believes that the future of Curator lies in working with agencies to deliver more than just digital curations and believes outdoor signage, live events and live TV are key areas for expansion. Curator was recently the tech behind Netflix’s Comic-Con installation in San Diego, California as well as the aggregator for the Global Women’s March this weekend.

Says Thomas Garrood, CTO and co-founder said of Curator: “We have spent a long time making Curator simple enough for anyone to use. It’s exciting to finally unveil the new look and move out of beta stage. We have a huge number of features still in the pipeline which we will rollout over the coming months.”

Garrood recently moved to California to head up Curator’s first overseas office after exceptional early stage growth and interest in the platform.

Last year Aardwolf Ventures launched Puffling, the job pairing platform with Lija Wilson and Sarah Parker. Last month Aardwolf also launched Aircamp.com.au, a campsite aggregator set to be Australia’s largest destination for all camping and caravan bookings.
