Award-winning creative duo Jeremy Hogg (left) and Richard Shaw (right) have been appointed in associate creative director roles at Y&R Sydney.

The move sees them join CCO Paul Nagy’s revamped creative department where they will help lead the creative offering with ECD Bart Pawlak. The news follows this morning’s announcement of ECD Dave Joubert’s departure from the agency, to join DDB Sydney.

Hogg joins Y&R Sydney from Marcel where he was instrumental in the agency’s first 18 months in Australia working on OPSM, Nestle and producing award-winning work for Tiger Beer.

Shaw returns to Sydney after three years in Melbourne at Cannes Lions and D&AD Agency of the Year Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

Says Shaw: “The project Paul and the team are undertaking is really exciting. It’s tough to leave one of the best agencies around, but Paul’s set us the challenge of helping lead the creative department with Bart and to elevate the creative product. It was an opportunity too good to turn down.”

Says Hogg: “Everyone here has a very clear vision of where we want to take the agency and the type of work we want to be creating. It’s not going to happen overnight, but it’s sure to be an interesting ride.”

Says Nagy: “Rich and Jeremy have been working here for a few months now and I could not be more impressed. Smart, talented and full of ideas and ambition. I’m thrilled they’ve decided to stay and I know they’ll make this place something special.”
