American Tourister kicks off 2018 with TVC featuring Christiano Ronaldo via TBWA Spain

image019.jpgAmerican Tourister has launched a new TV spot starring its latest signing, record five-time Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo join the team. Ronaldo stars in the latest spot, which will air in Australia, created by TBWA Spain.

The football legend’s involvement with American Tourister’s upcoming campaign is exciting for the industry and fans can look forward to a 360º marketing campaign that includes an engaging television commercial and online/digital activation.

The globetrotting prolific goal scorer will be the brand ambassador for American Tourister, sharing many characteristics embodied by the lifestyle and travel brand. The world’s most marketable footballer and fashion icon, Ronaldo is an inspiration to millions around the globe. His football talent, passion for travel, innate energy, youthful and fun-loving nature, and strong fashion sense have made him one of the most valuable players both on and off the field. In social media, he has amassed hundreds of millions of followers across various platforms – fans who will be following the star’s exploits with American Tourister throughout 2018.

 

At the heart of American Tourister’s 2018 marketing campaign is a callout for travellers to “Bring Back More” from their journeys. A frequent traveller himself, Ronaldo personifies this concept. With his suitcase as his constant travel companion, he brings back more memories, experiences, and memorabilia from every trip. Ronaldo’s brand and lifestyle are closely aligned with American Tourister’s target audience -millennial travellers on the hunt for exciting stories and unique, authentic travel experiences. “Bring Back More” is showcased in the campaign’s television commercials, which see the footballer return from one of his various overseas trips. The commercials end on cliff-hanger teasers, which invite the audience to guess what Ronaldo has packed in his luggage. Fans can then post their guesses over social media using the hashtags #AmericanTourister and #BringBackMore.

 

American Tourister is pulling out all the stops to deliver an amazing campaign in 2018, and has engaged the popular award-winning commercial director Augusto de Fraga to bring this to life in a series of television commercials.
