image1.jpgFoxtel and Fox Sports have today launched a major new marketing and promotional campaign that features a collection of our most-loved sporting champions across every major Australian sports code including Steve Smith, Tim Cahill, Michael Hooper, Dustin Martin, Sam Kerr and Cameron Smith.

The TVC creative and production, by Fox Sports Creative, was delivered to market by Foxtel’s internal agency Felix as well as other partner agencies including WiTH Collective and Host/Havas.

image2.jpgWith Foxtel home to more than 40 different sports codes including all the major national codes, the campaign brings together stars across these sports to showcase the depth and breadth available all in the one place, only on Foxtel.

Says Patrick Delany, CEO, Foxtel: “Today is a great day for Aussie sports fans as weage3.jpg combine Foxtel’s unrivalled sport’s coverage from Australia and around the world with our best offer, ever. For only $39 a month, sports fans will have the biggest choice of live sport on Foxtel, with live, ad-break free during play and HD coverage of every round of NRL and AFL, the roar of Supercars and Formula 1, plus international sport with the NBA, Major League Baseball, the best European football and more.

“Foxtel’s offer brings unrivalled value for sport to Australian families and couldn’t come at a better time as we gear up for an exciting 2018 winter sports season.”

Never before have so many of Australia’s most loved athletes come together for the one campaign with national Cricket captain Steve Smith, women’s all-rounder, Ellyse Perry, football icon, Tim Cahill and 2018 Young Australian of the Year and football star,Sam Kerr, featuring alongside Wallabies captain Michael Hooper and Supercars star Craig Lowndes.

Strapping on the AFL footy boots are Dustin Martin, Buddy Franklin, Patrick Dangerfield, Moana Hopeand Erin Phillips while Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Sam Burgess, Darius Boyd, Jason Taumalolo and Boyd Cordner are among the NRL stars.

Families and sport go hand in hand in Australia. The campaign brings this nostalgia to life by recreating the weekly ritual of families across the country and the Saturday morning sports run, but featuring our sporting heroes.

From Dusty Martin getting a lift to the ‘G’, Cam Smith to AAMI Park and Steve Smith being dropped off at a cricket match in India, the commercial asks the question “wouldn’t it be easier if all their sports were in the one place?” highlighting the comprehensive line-up of sport on Foxtel.

Launching today, the campaign will run across TV, radio, print, social and digital along with out-of-home advertising including billboards, bus shelters and buses to promote the extensive line-up of sport on Foxtel.

Says Steve Smith on his involvement in the campaign: “Shooting this campaign for Foxtel was a lot of fun. In my scene, Mrs T drops me off in ‘Mumbai’… via Erskineville. It was very cool to see how the production team transformed an everyday transportation yard into a busy Mumbai traffic jam! I’m a big NRL fan so it was pretty cool to see all the footy players involved in this campaign plus all the other athletes. While I travel all over the world for cricket, whenever I’m home in Australia, I’m watching my favourite sports on Foxtel.”

Says Cameron Smith: “I played a lot of sport growing up and shooting this campaign brought back fond memories of my parents driving me all over Brisbane.”

Says Patrick Dangerfield: “It was great to be involved in this Foxtel campaign alongside the other athletes. I shot a few of my scenes with Dusty (Martin) and Sam (Kerr) and we had plenty of banter back and forth! Families and sport really go hand in hand in Australia and the Saturday morning sports drop off is something we all did, so it was a lot of fun to relive these memories.

Says Sam Kerr: “The Foxtel TVC shoot was a lot of fun. I’m a big AFL fan so it was pretty cool to do my scenes alongside Patrick (Dangerfield) and Dusty (Martin). It was great to be part of something which involved so many awesome Aussie athletes, I can’t wait to see it come together.”
