Taxi writer and director Steve Baker’s ‘I’m Still Here’ film makes Tropfest finalist selection

baker_crop.jpgWriter/director Steve Baker (left) has once again been selected as a Tropfest finalist – racking up his fourth Tropfest finalist selection.

Baker is hoping to repeat his success in 2007 with his short film ‘An Imaginary Life’ being the first animated film to win Tropfest.

In his Tropfest entry film this year, ‘I’m Still Here’, nuclear war looms, and a woman must make a final phone call.

This Tropfest nomination continues a stellar year for Baker with his recent online series This is Desmondo Ray! earning over 15 international awards to date including:

•    Best Animated Series at the 2017 International Academy of Web Television Awards

•    Best Short Animation at the AACTA Awards

•    Grand Jury Award for Best Animated Short at SXSW

IBaker is known for creating stories that shimmer with a bittersweet sensibility and razor-sharp humour. He is represented by Taxi.

Tropfest is a free event that will be held this Saturday 17th February.
