He succeeds Paul Everingham, who left suddenly in February.

Marketforce/OMD Chairman Jim Gall announced Marshall’s appointment today, citing his record for creating and driving sustained business and marketing investment in WA. Marshall (left) is currently the managing director of Carat Perth, a role he has held since 2015.

“I am thrilled to announce that Adam will be joining us in June to lead our business in Perth,” said Gall. “Adam’s extensive experience in both creative and media environments are rare. He has the unique complement of skills, knowledge and energy to drive greater integration, innovation and collaboration.”

“There is no doubt Marketforce has been a bastion for creativity in Western Australia for many years and there is much to be proud of, however today’s fast moving, highly fragmented media and technology market requires a more seamless content, analytics, data and channel planning model to remain relevant.”

“This is a new era for Marketforce/OMD that brings with it the most powerful integrated agency offering in Perth, backed by the data and analytics capability of the Omnicom and Clemenger Group networks. This is a definite signal that we are investing locally in WA with the best people, technologies and intellectual property to drive better business outcomes for clients,” added Gall.

The announcement follows the appointment of Paul Coghlan as Chief Creative Officer just two weeks ago and rounds out a complete management overhaul of the business.

Clemenger Group Executive Chairman Robert Morgan said that “Paul Coghlan and Adam Marshall represent a formidable combination of creativity and new age advertising thinking.”

“In Adam and Paul, we have Agency leaders who understand how to combine brilliant creativity with new technologies to deliver highly effective communications. They also know each other well and have significant respect for each other’s capabilities.”

“I am very pleased that both have returned to Clemenger and particularly Marketforce/OMD, after gaining valuable experience both locally and abroad. We believe both will make a huge contribution to the Clemenger BBDO Network,” he said.

Morgan added that Jim Gall will continue in his role as Acting CEO until June and will remain Chair of the new Marketforce/OMD Board.

Marshall has previously worked at Initiative, Maxus and OMD in Perth and for two years before joining the Dentsu Aegis/Carat network he was Head of Trading – Asia Pacific for Mindshare.
