Wright, who has been with the business for over 10 years, was previously group strategy director, leading a team of six working across the agency’s key clients, including Woolworths, Mastercard, Microsoft, and Virgin Australia.

Testament to her talent, Wright was also recently chosen to participate in The Marketing Academy’s highly selective annual leadership programme, as one of only thirty marketers accepted from over 300 nominations.

Says Hegg: “I’m thrilled that Danni is now officially leading our strategic function in such a critical market. Her commitment to improving both herself, those around her, and the agency’s collective output is unmatched. This is, in turn, leading to better outcomes for our clients, which I know is Danni’s true passion.”

Wright’s promotion coincides with a shift in the broader business toward an even greater emphasis on communications strategy and planning. Carat now has one of the largest dedicated strategic resources of any agency, with 20 strategists in five offices around the country.

Says Wright: “I’ve experienced a great deal of personal and professional growth with Carat over the last ten years, something that I’m sure is set to continue in my new role. Luckily, I will have an incredibly strong team and fantastic set of peers beside me as I navigate this new challenge.”

Wright’s promotion is effective immediately.
