targus-img2.jpgGlobal technology and mobile carry solutions company, Targus has finalised its first Australia and New Zealand agency roster. Following an extensive search and selection review process that included more than 20 agencies, Targus has appointed five mainly independent agencies with a range of specialist abilities to work with its marketing team, led by chief marketing officer Stephen Byrne.

SomeOne has been appointed as Targus’ creative agency; Switch Digital will handle digital marketing; Uberbrand has been selected to manage marketing support and digital development; packaging will be handled by Boxer & Co and Hotwire will look after PR.

SomeOne founder Laura Coulson said the agency was delighted to have been appointed as the lead creative agency to Targus ANZ.

Says Coulson: “Working closely with the team and industry leading consultancies, our role on the roster will see us lead the brand development, design and communications – based on their new progressive brand strategy. It’s the beginning of an exciting, long term strategic and creative relationship.”

Targus general manger Claire French said Targus was completely reorienting itself to a changing market with a marketing-led shift strategy designed to develop greater awareness of Targus’ technology and carry solutions offer.

Says French: “We’re looking to build deeper customer engagement particularly with our retail partners and through digital channels including Amazon and eBay. These agency appointments reflect both a new and significant investment by Targus in a customer centric and marketing led approach.”
