Cameron Hales.jpgThe Butchery has welcomed editor Cameron Hales to its team of creative editors.

Hales in a past life was a DJ until he swapped his decks for a desk and started his editing career at Filmgraphics as its in house editor – working with award winning directors David Denneen, Phil Meatchem and Graham Burfoot.

After a stint in the world of freelance he moved to Method Studios as a senior editor in both Sydney and Melbourne before joining with The Butchery at the beginning of 2018.

With a naturalistic, organic and performance driven style of cutting he’s worked on campaigns for clients such as Adidas, Skittles, Foxtel, Mitsubishi, Holden, Optus, Bupa, and VW – with directors such as Husein Alicajic, Jonathan Nyquist, Alex Smith, Luke Bouchier and Tim Gibbs.

Says Freya Maddock, a senior producer at The Butchery: “We are thrilled to have Cam on board. He brings a complementary style of cutting to The Butchery and is a lovely calm presence in the suite. Cycling over 400ks per week, Cam is mad for the Lycra… just not in the suite.”

Hales is available to work out of The Butchery’s Melbourne or Sydney offices. Contact Freya Maddock – freya@thebutchery.com.au or Amelia Babos amelia@thebutchery.com.au.
