Her new role reflects a strong period of growth for the agency after recent client wins including Queensland Health, Cross River Rail and The Local Government Association of Queensland, as well as strong client growth with Suncorp.

Publicis in Queensland transitioned to new leadership in April last year to place a specific focus on integrated strategy, creative and digital thinking and has since become one of the fastest growing creative agencies in the state.

Young joined the agency in July last year as client services director and since then she has restructured and expanded the client service team to match evolving client needs in creative and integrated communications. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the U.K., New Zealand and Australia and prior to joining Publicis she was general manager of Ogilvy Queensland.

Managing director of Publicis in Queensland Simone Waugh (far right) said Young’s promotion to general manager was integral to plans for the business’s growth and client leadership capabilities.

Says Waugh: “Jane has brought to Publicis her experience in re-engineering processes and creating a culture where people and creativity come first. The agency has developed into a fully integrated strategy, creative, digital and production business and Jane is central to how we work with our clients in an open and collaborative way.”

Says Young: “I am proud to be part of an agency that values the perspectives of female leadership and is truly passionate about mentoring our young people to achieve their potential. My main focus will continue to be on our people and further developing an environment in which they can thrive, while I will also maintain a very hands-on approach with our clients.”
