Josie Burns is associate creative director at Host/Havas, Sydney.

Starting out as a copywriter and producer in talk radio, Josie later moved into policy and communications for government.

After having trouble scraping the ice off her windscreen in Canberra, she made the decision to move up to Brisbane to be an advertising creative.

She worked as a copywriter at Junior (now Ogilvy) in Brisbane in 2011, before moving to DDB Sydney in 2013 and onto Host in 2015, where she was promoted to Associate Creative Director in 2017.
She's worked on brands including Audi, James Squire, McDonald's, Johnson & Johnson, Wrigley's, Tooheys, Air New Zealand, Expedia and Arnott's.

Career highlights include making the Columbian news with a pizza that looked like Jesus.

She's mentored young creative talent through the I-Manifest program and has tutored/judged AWARD School for the last three years.

She loves culture-changing ideas and working with people who want to redefine the industry.
