There’s no shying away from it. Retail is Wendy’s strong suit.

To date Wendy’s career spans 31 years, across 10 advertising agencies, working with over 50 brands on hundreds of retail campaigns.

A creative director with Cummins&Partners Melbourne since February 2016, Wendy oversees a suite of retail accounts including Specsavers, EnergyAustralia and Crown Resorts.

Among her career highlights are the creation of the fashion brand Forever New, shooting campaigns with Australia’s leading photographers on location throughout Australia and New Zealand and traveling to Specsavers HQ in Guernsey to collaborate with creative director Graham Daldry, the man behind ‘Should’ve gone to Specsavers’.

Wendy recalls that back in the day ‘retail’ was a bit of a dirty word in adland, with a less-than-sexy churn and burn reputation. But, says Wendy, these days retail has to a large extent shed its ugly duckling star-burst embellished, down and dirty persona.

Says Wendy: “I love the challenge to produce head turning creative within this fast paced, solutions based, results driven category that is more often than not the bread and butter of the agency.”
