Sky News delivers audience increase – weeknight primetime up 25%; Sunday evenings up 42%

Outsiders-Rowan-Ross.jpgAhead of the launch of Sky News on WIN in regional Australia later this year, Sky News has announced the first half of 2018 had delivered its highest ratings on record, with total average viewership increasing by 9%, now reaching more than one million Australians every week on Foxtel alone.

With strong audience gains across its weeknight primetime and new Sunday evening schedule, Sky News is now one of the leading channels on subscription television and number one across Foxtel in key evening timeslots.

The half-yearly results have delivered the channel’s biggest weeknight primetime audiences to date, with average viewership increasing by 25% now reaching more than half a million people each week compared to the same time last year.

Credlin, anchored by Peta Credlin weeknights at 6:00pm, is the number one program in its timeslot across Foxtel, recording triple digit audience growth of 166% year-on- year, reaching an average weekly audience of 208,000.

The Bolt Report, anchored by Andrew Bolt weeknights at 7:00pm, has seen a 36% increase and an average weekly reach of 239,000 as 2018 continues to deliver the program’s highest rating season on record.

Paul Murray LIVE each Sunday – Thursday at 9:00pm, is the number one nightly program on Foxtel in its timeslot, reaching an average 268,000 per week. Sunday nights have delivered the biggest – weekly audience increase for Paul Murray LIVE; up 139%.

The weeknight 8pm timeslot continues its strong performance with the Monday and Thursday editions of Outsiders, anchored by Ross Cameron and former advertising creative director Rowan Dean (pictured above), up 84% and 105%.

Outsiders’ 9am Sunday program has increased audience by 24% year-on-year, while Kenny on Sunday anchored by Chris Kenny at 7:00pm has recorded audience growth of 158%. Average viewing by Total People on Sundays 6pm -11pm is up 42%.

On Tuesdays Jones & Co, anchored by Alan Jones and Peta Credlin, is up 29% while Graham Richardson’s Wednesday program, Richo, has recorded a 54% increase.
