The announcement, which coincides with the agency’s 21st birthday, will see Kelly join co-founders David Hayes and Michael Berry on HBT’s leadership team.

Since joining HBT in 2014 Kelly has built outstanding digital capability for the agency and his appointment reflects HBT’s commitment to a future where digital is an integral part of its offering to every client.

Kelly brought over fifteen years of experience to HBT, including helping launch and grow the world’s biggest online betting exchange Betfair in the UK and Australia, and running his own successful digital agency.

“I’m delighted to become a partner at HBT, it was a natural progression,” says Kelly. “From the get-go David, Michael and I have shared the view that digital should have a place at the table right from the beginning of any new client relationship. Because of this we tackle client tasks collectively as a team, which allows us to effectively define the best way to communicate a message and/or achieve a desired outcome. That integration has been a big contributor to the success of clients’ communications strategies.”

Today, HBT combines strategic and creative thinking with a digital expertise that runs right through its client base including Dulux Group, STIHL and The District Docklands, among many others. Following the agency’s acquisition of Hardwire earlier this year, HBT has expanded its Financial Services portfolio, working closely with IFM, ESS Super and HESTA.
