The Labs - New Appointments - July 2018 (1).jpgThe Labs, a human centric experience design consultancy, has bolstered its Australian operations with the appointments of Lee Liversedge, Sally Orme and Yige Ma.

The trio brings strong backgrounds in brand strategy and design to their roles at The Labs, which partners with businesses, developers, architects, and brand builders to create Smarter Experiences that activate places and spaces.

Lee Liversedge, formerly head of brand at Imagination, has joined The Labs as principal consultant, bringing with him a background in brand strategy and over 20 years global experience as an award-winning designer. Through merging his passion for architecture, design and technology, and developing the role of cognitive processes within, he links people to place with purpose.

Sally Orme joins The Labs as a design-led strategist. She brings a unique skillset built over a 20-year career across a range of industries. Orme has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to tackle diverse problems, including reimagining design specification processes for a manufacturer, prototyping a business model for a new category, coordinating arts programs, conceptualising and co-creating spaces for branded experiences, developing purpose-led brand platforms, and assisting organisations through change.

Yige Ma joins The Labs as a senior experience design consultant. She brings more than eight years of experience in management consulting, program management, digital transformation, start-up and innovation across sectors including financial services, tech/telco, FMCG, media, health and education in the APAC market. Ma has led numerous medium-to-large scale programs with multidisciplinary teams intersecting business strategy, creative, technology, customer experience, brand and agile delivery.

Says David Woodbridge, managing director, The Labs: “The skills, experience and success that Lee, Sally and Yige bring to The Labs is exceptional and we are excited to expand our local capabilities with their talents. We have seen tremendous growth in the demand to activate permanent spaces and places with signature experiences and a move away from creating a so called destination.”
