UnLtd gears up to grow industry’s social impact with Sev Celik appointed as head of fundraising

sev celik (1).jpgUnLtd, the media, marketing and creative industry’s social purpose organisation, has appointed Sev Celik, previously sales director for eBay Australia at Triad Retail Media, to the role of head of fundraising.

 

Celik is a well-known and respected figure in the industry having previously worked as the commercial director of NewsLifeMedia and in various senior roles at Fairfax Media including director of its integrated sales division, director of magazines and head of agency sales. She is a strategic leader bringing with her extensive commercial experience from both media owner and agency side.

 

Says Chris Freel, CEO of UnLtd: “We are delighted to welcome Sev into the UnLtd family. Sev’s energy, passion and tenacity combined with her commercial skills and relationships are perfect for this role. Since our launch in 2006, UnLtd has generated over $45m in social impact to help children and young people at risk and our goal is to make it $100m by 2021. Sev will be instrumental in helping us reach that milestone.”

Says Celik: “Our industry has incredible power and I’m passionate about joining UnLtd and using my experience to harness the great skills and influence of our industry to help crack serious social issues affecting young people in Australia.”

 

As the social impact that our industry generates grows, the UnLtd team has also grown to facilitate more corporate partnerships, events and new programs designed to generate more social impact to help young people at risk.

 

Jenni Hayward, previously senior marketing and events manager at Adrenalin, has joined as head of events to drive the growing portfolio of UnLtd events such as the Big Clash cricket tournament, Big Splash regatta, Adland Bail Out and the newly launched Big Chat breakfast series. She is also heading the development of some exciting new events to be launched soon.

 

Amy Bagatella has joined to head up the recently launched youth employment program in partnership with Talent Rise, aiming to find entry-level employment opportunities within the media, marketing and creative industry for young people who deserve a second chance. UnLtd has also hired the first candidate from the UnLtd: Talent Rise program, Serena Rihani as the team assistant.

 

Says Freel: “We’ve got an exciting FY19 planned with the launch of a major event, a national roadshow and many other initiatives designed to bring our industry together to do good. It’s great to have such a passionate and talented team to drive our ambitious plans.”
