Avalon Centre.jpgToday, in conjunction with Homelessness Prevention Week, Avalon Centre has launched

its new campaign for Avalon Homes For The Homeless program via Magnum Opus Partners.

The campaign is designed to raise vital funds to create a home where people down on their luck can gain skills in cooking, cleaning and looking after themselves.

Avalon Homes for The Homeless initiative has proven to work overseas and Avalon Centre is aiming to make it work right here in Melbourne.

The strategy of the campaign was to put people in the shoes of a homeless person, to give them an idea of what the homeless go through every day. The  lm highlights the majority of Victorians lives everyday, while the homeless are stuck on the streets, struggling.

Says Pat Langton, creative director, MOP: “We believe this is a strategy that can change minds and get people to donate to a great initiative. We’re humbled to have such talented people offer their time and skills to this campaign. We’re thankful for everyone involved.”

Says Centre Co Ordinator Debbie: “The professionalism on the production is impressive and we thank Magnum Opus Partners for partnering with us to create something great.”

The campaign begins today and will run across TV, social and print media. You can also donate at avaloncentre.org.au.
